Editing
I have worked as a features editor at woo and previously at Square Mile. In both roles I have commissioned external and internal writers and managed budgets. At woo I ideated columns, verticals and developed the house style for all editorial work. I have also edited features and other work as a freelancer at Time Out. I am very open to out-of-the box ideas and stories that make people think, but I am also very committed to high reporting standards and rigorous rounds of edits. I always reply to pitches with detailed feedback even if I am to reject them, I believe it is important to nurture freelancers wherever possible. Editing examples are available on request.

Consulting
My editorial consultancy ranges from social media and website audits through to generating fresh pillars for content, new verticals, style guides, visual identity, UX, editorial design and tone of voice guides across print, desktop, and mobile. I have done this for The Athletic, Woo, The Face, Vice, Loaded, Auddy, and Wildfarmed. While I have generated social engagement, social following, online dwell time, and SEO growth for all of these brands, I believe more in prioritising the quality of the work than looking at numbers. This is a more timeless metric, independent of third-parties with other interests than serving your brand or editorial publication. Make good work and the numbers will come.
In my role at Red Setter I consulted on PR and editorial strategy for some of the world's leading design agencies, including LOVE, Ragged Edge, Mother, The Team, I-AM, Bond & Coyne, ONCE Upon A Time Hospitality, Among Equals, minds + assembly, and Denomination. This involved ghostwriting thought-leadership, editorial comms, and social media; auditing social media, devising tone of voice, and creating editorial strategy for press coverage, in collaboration with partners, directors, founders, and c-suite. My work has helped these agencies gain coverage in The Evening Standard, The Financial Times, City AM, Fast Company, Campaign US, Campaign UK, AdWeek, The Drum, Creative Review, Creative Boom, Harpers Wine and Spirits, and many others, including a wide variety of sector and B2B publications within healthcare, advertising, hospitality, finance, design, creativity, and more. This work has led to direct new business for clients.
